Looking Forward

The USFRS Board of Directors is working closely with the leadership of the Board of Scientific Organizations (BISO) at NASEM to transfer the USNC-URSI Private and Endowment Funds and financial oversight responsibility to USFRS. We anticipate this transition will be completed by the spring of 2026. The USFRS is working closely with NASEM so that the USNC-URSI will continue to operate seamlessly through this transition.

In addition, the USFRS will be working closely with the IEEE AP-S leadership to review and reinvigorate the relationship between our scientific organizations so that we can continue jointly co-sponsoring the annual IEEE AP-S Symposia and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meetings that are held throughout the world.
